About First Fruits Dance Ministry
First fruits dance ministry started on the 17th of July 2004 under the leadership of Kaeren McGrowder who is the founder and dance leader of the ministry.
Aims and Objectives
To fulfil God’s commission to us Mathew 28: 19 “ Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and of the Holy Ghost”.
Vision
Freedom!! To see all God’s children set FREE. Isaiah 61:1-2
“The Spirit of the Lord God is Upon me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn”.
First fruits dance ministry currently has ten members who are faithful and committed to the ministry. This consists of our manager Elder David Henry, Dancers- Sis Leonie Francis, Sis Iona Waite, Sis Michelle Parkinson (treasurer), and Sis Kaeren McGrowder (Dance leader). This ministry consist of intercessors that are: Sis Paula Henry, Bro. Richard Parkinson, Minister Lloyd Richards and Sis Rosemary Artsman. These are the people who pray us the dancers through and the ministry in general so what can I say intercessors are a vital part of any ministry, when virtue left us they pray back strength and life in our Spirit.
This is a Spirit lead ministry as dancers we move as the Holy Spirit would have us sometimes in a prophetic anointing, Spiritual Warfare etc as the Spirit Leads. However, because of the mandate that is on this ministry we have to be in tune with the Holy Spirit and make sure that we are in right standing with God. According to Romans 12: 1-2 our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we therefore has to present it as a living sacrifice. In verse 19 of 1 Corinthian the 6 th chapter Paul declares that the believers body is a temple, the temple of the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit live in the believer’s body, the believer cannot have ownership of his or her body. In verse 20, Paul gives another reason the believer should not think of the body as his or her own: “You were bought with a price”. God purchased the believer’s body and Spirit with the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ. Let us be diligent to remember that our bodies belong to the Lord – purchased by his Son and inhabited by his Spirit.
So lets give God our First fruit, the first fruit of our increase. FATHER all that we are is because of you, you are the ALPA and OMEGA and so we give you all glory and honour and praise, you Must Increase and we must decrease, Lord we take none of the credit for ourselves, so Lord have your way in us and through us in JESUS name. Amen
